The editors assess every submission and provide a reasoned decision. Manuscripts selected for peer review are reviewed by a qualified subject specialist. Accepted articles are published continuously under the authors' copyright.

- Submission
- Sending a manuscript to the editors is free.
- Peer review charge
- CHF 450 is charged once when the editors accept the manuscript for peer review. It covers editorial handling through publication.
- Payment
- Payment is accepted by bank transfer. The bank details are sent with the editorial decision that the manuscript will proceed to peer review.
Manuscript preparation
Swissi AI Journal LaTeX Template
Prepare research articles with the official LaTeX template: DOI placement, A4 layout, APA references, author affiliations, figure handling and a standalone declarations page.
- Publication model
- Each calendar year is one volume. Articles receive a sequential article number, for example 001, and a DOI at acceptance.
- What the template includes
- A4 format, 10 pt body text, compact masthead, DOI running header, journal footer, APA 7 author-date references and figure handling.
- Author workflow
- Authors edit the manuscript body and paper metadata. Journal identity, publication metadata, DOI, volume, article number and editorial dates are managed by the editorial office.
- Metadata and declarations
- Declarations appear after the references and cover paper information, author contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, data and code availability, AI tool use and journal information.
- Technical notes
- The template keeps author-editable metadata in 1-system/0-meta.tex, editorial metadata in 1-system/1-journal-meta.tex and user figures in 3-assets/1-User/.

All article types are published under the same licence, carry a permanent identifier and are deposited in the same archive.
- Paper
- A complete piece of research with a stated method and an evaluation.
- Preprint
- A finished argument released before assessment concludes.
- Report
- A technical or institutional account written for practitioners.
- Note
- A short contribution making a single point.
Process
How a submission is handled
Editorial assessment, peer review and publication terms are stated before submission.
Submit the manuscript
Write to the editors with the manuscript attached as a PDF. Name the authors and affiliations, state the article type, and include the abstract, method, evidence and references.
The editors read it
Every submission receives editorial assessment and a decision with reasons.
Peer review
Manuscripts selected for peer review are sent to a specialist from outside the editorial team, who reports within 4 weeks. CHF 450 is charged once at this stage and covers editorial handling through publication.
Publication
Accepted articles are published continuously under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. Copyright remains with the authors. Each article receives a permanent identifier and external archival deposit.

Authors and institutions
Authors
Submissions must carry a result that stands up to competent examination: a method with evaluation, a reproduction of a published claim, a measured account of a system in service, or a negative result that closes a question.
Strong submissions state what was tested, what was found, what remains unsettled, and how the work relates to the literature it builds on.
Institutions
Research groups, laboratories, public bodies and companies contribute work across institutional boundaries. Technical results supported by operating evidence from deployed settings are central to the journal's scope.
Write to the editors with the subject, the manuscript and the people involved. Each author is credited to their institution, and every affiliation appears on the published article.
AI use
AI use and authorship
AI assistance is permitted when it serves accountable scholarship. The manuscript remains the work of its named authors.
- Responsible assistance
- AI tools may support language polishing, grammar, consistency checks, source tracing, metadata, translation support, formatting and production checks when a named author or editor reviews the result.
- Authored scholarship
- A manuscript must contain author-owned scholarship: an author-defined argument, a defined source base, documented analysis and human revision. Full sections generated from only a topic, outline or prompt are returned before peer review for author replacement.
- Declaration
- Authors declare material AI use in the template, including text generation, substantive rewriting, translation, citation assistance, figure or table generation, code generation, data analysis, summarisation and metadata preparation.
- Scientific standard
- Editors assess the manuscript, not the tool. Formulaic AI writing patterns, generic filler, unsupported claims, weak transitions, excessive hedging, fabricated or unverifiable sources and low scientific standards are treated as editorial blockers.

- Access
- The full text of each article is available from publication. Reading is free.
- License
- The default article license is Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. Readers may share and adapt the work with attribution to the authors and Swissi AI Journal.
- Record
- Articles carry a persistent identifier, publication metadata, journal metadata and a declaration record. Corrections and retractions remain linked to the article record.
Fill out LICENCE
The declaration page has a LICENCE field. Use CC BY 4.0 for the journal standard, or state the requested license in the submission email when a funder, institution or contract requires a different route.

- How to use it
- Authors describe each person's contribution to the work in the declarations section. The statement should be specific enough for readers and editors to understand who contributed to conception, method, software, data, analysis, writing, review, supervision or funding.
- In the template
- The LaTeX template places author contributions on the standalone declarations page after the references, together with funding, conflicts of interest, data and code availability, and AI tool use.
- Responsibility
- Contribution statements complement authorship. Every named author remains responsible for the claims they stand behind and for the integrity of the submitted work.
Fill out AUTHOR CONTRIBUTIONS
The declaration page has an AUTHOR CONTRIBUTIONS field. Write one sentence using the relevant roles and initials, for example: WK: Conceptualization, Methodology, Writing - original draft; WS: Software, Validation, Writing - review and editing.
